”And I was completely blown away by the ’rabbits’ with bandaged lower limbs, pale, almost transparent, basking in the sun outside Block 25, where they were housed. I learned from long-standing female prisoners that these young, pretty girls were subjected to criminal pseudo-medical experiments. Bone surgeries were performed on them and their wounds were infected with purulent bacteria. Many of these female prisoners died, and those who survived remained crippled for the rest of their lives.”
